Denka undertakes the preservation of the global environment centered on the Responsible Care initiative being promoted by the global chemical industry. To fulfill our obligations of a chemical manufacturer, we conduct strict management to limit environmental burdens as well as strive for relentless technological innovations toward reducing resource and energy consumption.

Denka Signs Responsible Care Global Charter 2014

On December 9, 2014, Denka became a signatory to the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) Responsible Care Global Charter 2014, declaring its support of Responsible Care principles and commitment to practicing such principles alongside.

Fiscal 2022 Responsible Care (RC) Activity Policies (environment related)

In line with the Responsible Care Global Charter, we will engage in dialogue with stakeholders to accurately assess society’s expectations in addition to maintaining strict compliance and preventing environmental pollution. As our goal is to contribute to environmental conservation initiatives aimed at realizing a sustainable society, we will promote RC activities in all aspects of our business operations, ranging from raw materials procurement through manufacturing and storage to distribution to usage and disposal. In these ways, we will fulfill our social responsibilities.

1. Resolve technical issues at the earliest possible date and explore new themes centering on the investigatory committee for the improvement of production technology
2. Make effective use of grant payment schemes to achieve immediate results.

1. Omi Plant: Chloroprene wastewater odor reduction and monomer atmospheric emissions reduction
2. Chiba Plant: Systematically reduce VOC emissions according to chemical hazard information
